Westwood PT In the News

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has recently recognized Westwood Physical Therapy for its continued commitment to excellence in physical therapist practice. Here is a portion of APTA’s news release on June 14, 2006:
“In an effort to demonstrate a continuing commitment to patient care, all physical therapists at Westwood Physical Therapy, a 25 year-old, physical therapist-owned private practice specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, limb amputation rehabilitation, Pilates, temporalmandibular joint therapy, and health, wellness, and prevention management, in Los Angeles, California, are now members of the American Physical Therapy Association.
‘Achieving one hundred percent membership in our professional association will help us strengthen our patient care by keeping us current with political issues to support our main concern – the patient. Membership provides us with continuing education and evidence-based research to improve our clinical skills and support our treatments. They also provide support and plans for business owners,’ said Joan Schmidt, PT, owner of Westwood Physical Therapy.
‘This achievement demonstrates commitment to excellence in physical therapist practice the APTA stand for,’ said APTA President Ben F Massey, Jr., PT, MA.’ ”
